NORWEGIAN TITLE: Kalde snuter, varme hjerter

Spring/Summer 2024 I worked as a translator at Loki Films’ NYC office with Oscar-nominated documentary film makers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady. I translated source materials captured in Norway, generated subtitles, and assisted editors with creating smooth audio cuts.

Tools: Avid and InqScribe.

The documentary made its debut at Sundance 2025 and is currently shortlisted for an Oscar nomination!

Northerly’s background

  • I founded Northerly Agency in 2016 in NYC, offering marketing, publicity and radio promotion services, as well as artist management, in the music industry. Northerly embraced community in its business strategy, and quickly built a large community of independent bands, artists, and music industry professionals with the intent of forming mutual support and comradery. This lead to a huge success, and Northerly was recruited to join renowned NYC based music industry marketing company Marauder in 2018. See news article.

Today’s focus

  • Currently, Northerly is focusing on being a bridge between the music industries in NYC and Oslo through marketing strategy consultancy and connections.

  • Goal: I also aim to use Northerly as my channel to publish artistic work and share my knowledge about my true love: Design.

  • I Know We Should is an audio and video production team specializing in recording music sessions and placing them in media outlets such as Paste Magazine, No Depression, Relix, FLOOD magazine, Holler Country, and more.

  • I oversee the marketing and monetization strategy of the company’s growing YouTube Channel, currently at 51 900 subscribers and counting. I am also spearheading the development of I Know We Should music blog - COMING SOON!

PHOTOGRAPHY / GRAphic art PROJECT “BETWEEN MOMENTS”

  • Inspired by New York City’s artists and their moments behind the scenes.

  • Honors art, peace and joy during a time of a tense political climate such as stillness before motion, preparation before performance, and the energy after art has taken center stage.

  • Experimenting with portrait and city-landscape photography.

  • Mixing black and white photography with digital colorization and pattern application, including creating the patterns.

  • Goal: Gallery exhibition.

  • Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, DSLR camera, 35 mm Analog Photography, iPhone

FASHION DESIGN CERTIFICATION

  • Currently enrolled at Parsons School of Design (#1 rated fashion design institution in the US) in Manhattan to obtain my Professional Certification in Fashion Design

  • Goal: Developing textile and print designs, as well as designing and sewing my wardrobe. I also wish to implement some of the fashion design techniques into my role as an educator, such as for students to create custom t-shirt designs.

Responsibilities and accomplishments included:

  • Wrote articles including interviews with Best Coast, Tove Styrke, Jose Gonzales (feature), and Thomas Dybdahl, as well as album reviews and online news updates

  • In charge of the two columns "Dine Bilder" (photos shared by readers) and "Pop Pip" (a collection of tweets tweeted by musicians)

  • Contributed to the annual "Festival Guide"

  • Represented the magazine at ByLarm, an annual music business festival i Oslo
